Good Afternoon Brent Kennedy Families!

I would first like to start by congratulating all students on their performances at “Brent Kennedy’s Got Talent Show” yesterday afternoon!  I was extremely impressed with all of the performances and the courage it took for students to perform in front of a large audience.  A special thank you to the emcees for the day and to Ms. Solomon and Ms. Christie for putting it all together. 

Classes have already started going on fieldtrips!  Ms. Johnson’s class went to the museum today and Ms. Solomon’s class went to the Slocan Pools.  We are loving the summer weather.  If your child burns easily, perhaps consider applying sunscreen before coming to school and ensuring they have a refillable water bottle.  The weather is going to heat up quite drastically over the next week!

You may have noticed that we have 3 new picnic tables on our school property closest to the basketball court.  Many, many thanks to our wonderful PAC for providing those to our school.  I am sure they will be well used by staff and students alike.  On that note, we look forward to TableTop Games Night on Friday, June 2 from 5-8 p.m. in our school gym.  We will have door prizes as well as a concession.  There is even talk of a board game exchange.  Stay tuned for more details!
