From the Principal Sept 18

Happy Sunday everyone!

The weather sure is starting to change; we are seeing more warm and fuzzy coats in the morning. Make sure you help your child dress for the weather, although predicting that is challenging in September!

It's great to see the Multi-Age program has already gone on a field trip to Kokanee Creek Park.  I know other fieldtrips are in the works; this year there will be extra paperwork to fill out so please be prepared for that; it is an initiative that is being done across the district,

Verification forms were sent home last week; please look them over, ensure the information is correct and then send them back to school as soon as possible.

This week there is no school tomorrow as we pause to remember the Queen and there is no school on Friday as this is a planning day for the staff.

**We are in need of someone to take over the Hungry Kids Lunch Program.  This needs to be someone who is able to come in once per week to replenish our fridge with food for kids who don't have enough food and are needing a bit extra.  Foods that are purchased are cheese, crackers, rice cakes, juiceboxes, apple sauce, yogurt, granola bars, bananas and any foods similar.  The food needs to packaged into small snack bags and stored in the student fridge in the staffroom. We are a a nut aware school so no food with nuts are to be purchased.  If this is something that interests you, please contact Holly McRann or myself.

Please remember that school fees are now due.  The cost is $30 per student.  You can pay online or in person.  If you have financial hardship, please contact me directly.  Thank to you those who have already paid.

Wishing you all a wonderful week!
