Good Afternoon BK Families!

Today report cards will be published to the MyEd Parent Portal at the end of the day.  If you are having trouble accessing the Portal, please contact myself via email at jen.kooznetsoff@sd8.bc.ca and I will work to get things working for you.  If you require a hard copy, please let your child’s teacher know.

We are very proud to announce that one of our students, grade 4 student Charlotte Robinson, has been mentioned in the Wall Street Journal in their article, “Cursive is Coming Back, Now that Kids Can’t Read Grandma’s Letters”.  Charlotte entered a Cursive Writing contest that her teacher, Ms. Podovelnikoff, competes in every year.  Way to go, Charlotte!  What an amazing accomplishment!  We will send out the article once we receive it.

This week, the Multi-age program is going on a fieldtrip to Taghum and our intermediate classes are going to watch the Opening Ceremonies of  Volleyball Provincials at Selkirk College

For intermediate students, please watch for ski forms coming home this week.  Contact Mr. McRann with any questions.  Justin.mcrann@sd8.bc.ca

For our Christmas concert, we are in need of plain dark blue sheets or curtains that you no longer need as we work to create a backdrop for our stage.  If you have any that you no longer need, please feel free to drop them off at the front office.  If they have snowflakes on them, even better!

Again, just a friendly reminder that we have a no cell phone policy at our school.  Students may bring their cell phones to school but they are to remain in their backpack or given to myself or their teacher for the day.

Enjoy your week!  It’s December on Friday!  Time sure flies!

Jenn Kooznetsoff, Principal
