Parent and Family Weekly Update

April 8-12 2024

Hello all Brent Kennedy parents, families and caregivers!

We are one week into the final term of the year, after the Spring break, and what a wonderful week it has been.

It has been such a joy to meet the students at Brent Kennedy and get to know the teachers and all support staff who work hard to make this the great school that it is. There is a sense of happiness and warmth felt throughout the school, which undoubtedly enhances the learning experience for the children who attend BK. In my short time here, I have already seen such great learning take place in the classrooms and throughout the school.

There is robust learning happening in all curricular areas including the areas of literacy and numeracy. In addition to these foundational and important curricular areas of learning, the students at BK are gifted with learning in the areas of developing healthy relationships with the peers and adults at school, emotional regulation and awareness, and positive behavior interventions and support. In my time here, I am committed to supporting and enhancing all these areas of learning both in and out of the classroom spaces.

Thank you to parents and BKE staff for welcoming me into your school community. It has been a real pleasure to be here this past week and I look forward to what is to come.
