Parent and Family Weekly Update

January 12-16 2026

We are back in full swing at Brent Kennedy, and it’s wonderful to see our students settled into their classrooms and engaged in a great year of learning.

Winter activities are already underway, with four classes participating in skating and cross-country skiing this past week. These activities—including skating, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing—will continue through the second week of March, making for a busy, active, and fun winter season for our students. If you need a reminder of when your child will be participating in a winter activity, please don’t hesitate to contact me or your child’s classroom teacher.

Thank you to the families who have already paid the winter activity fees, including any required skate, helmet, or ski rentals. If you have not yet submitted payment for your child’s winter activities or rentals, please contact the school for payment information. Payments can be made online at:
https://bkes.sd8.bc.ca/pay

Thanks also to those parents who come to help out during our winter activity days! Whether it be skating or skiing, we appreciate parent help and support. If you are interested in volunteering for winter activity days, please contact your child's classroom teacher. Parent volunteer information is found below.

As always, we truly appreciate the partnership and support of our Brent Kennedy families as we work together to care for and support your child’s academic and social development, both at school and beyond.
