B.C.'s Welcoming Schools is committed to creating welcoming school environments where all students feel safe and supported and can focus on learning.

September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It's a day to honour residential school survivors, recognize strength and resilience, and to listen. Truth comes before reconciliation, and learning doesn't end in one day. 

SD8 pledges to listen to Indigenous voices. To build relationships with local communities. To turn understanding into action.
